The Supervisor shall have wide practical experience on low voltage electrical 
installations, also switch gear and protective systems up 11kv (Kilo Volts). He should have experience of L.V (Low Voltage) on Site standby generators. Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) systems, motor controls, general installations and fire alarms. Some knowledge of catering, laundry and sterilizer equipment would be advantageous.
In addition the Supervisor shall have a minimum of two years management experience of a staff greater than 6. Knowledge of Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) systems and familiarity with computer systems would be an advantage, fully conversant with current regulations and safety requirements.

The Supervisor shall have wide practical experience on central chiller water plant, 
preferably Carrier Systems, up to 100 tons/r air handling equipment, ductwork systems, electrical, electronic and pneumatic controls.
ii) One of the Supervisors will be dedicated to Regional Work, the other to the Hospital, either shall be able to replace the other as necessary.
iii) He shall have in depth and a progressive career in refrigeration practice and theory and updated knowledge on safety and regulations pertaining to refrigeration and air 
conditioning plant. He must be familiar with recovery and recycling requirements for refrigerants. He must be able to read drawings and speak and write English.
iv) In addition the Supervisor shall have a minimum of two years management experience of a staff of more than 6. Knowledge of Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) systems and familiarity with computer systems would be an advantage.

Must be trained with minimum 3 years post degree 5 years post diploma experience 2  years of which must be on patient care equipment gained either in a health care establishment or with a health care equipment manufacturer as a service technician/ engineer. Experience is required of but not confined to patient monitors, defibrillators, ventilators diagnostic equipment, laboratory, dental and X-ray equipment. Ability to fault find to component level on complex equipment, and read drawings is essential.
ii) The biomedical technicians will be dedicated to work on the equipment of the Region and will be expected to carry out some supervisory duties of other Contractors.
iii) Knowledge of international safety standards in relation to such equipment is essential, along with knowledge of associated test and diagnostic equipment.

i) In addition the Senior AC Technician shall have a minimum of two years management experience of a staff of more than 6. Knowledge of Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) systems and familiarity with computer systems would be an advantage.
ii). In general all technicians shall have been trained in refrigeration servicing and with the exception of the above have a minimum of two years post training experience on room and comfort conditioner, cold rooms, deep freeze applications, and general refrigeration
equipment

Must have in depth knowledge and experience on telephone systems including fault finding on fully automated exchanges. The technician must be experienced in fault finding on fully automated solid state fire alarm systems, nurse call systems, Public Address system (P.A. Systems) office equipment, paging systems, intercoms and general low power electronics including consumer electronics.

The Electrical Technicians shall have experience of Low Voltage (LV) General 
installation work, rotating plant and equipment, ability to fault trace on electrical and electronic control circuits. Familiar with laundry and kitchen equipment, pump compressors, emergency standby systems including generators. Battery station stabilizers and Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) systems. They must have ability to use test instruments and reading drawings. Some experience of High Voltage (11Kv) would be advantageous. Up to date knowledge of electrical regulations and safety requirements.
ii) One of the technicians shall be experienced in the maintenance and operation of emergency generators and all associated equipment.
iii) One of the technicians shall also be experienced in the control systems for sterilizers and be able to work in conjunction with the sterilizer mechanical technician.

At least 4 of the technicians must have 5 years’ experience (since training) of large        
central air conditioning plant and associated chilled water pipe work Air Handling Units 
(AHUs), equipment and controls including electrical, electronic and pneumatic. This 
experience should have been gained in a hospital or the hotel industry or similar, with the 
knowledge of air conditioning theory.
ii) In general all technicians shall have been trained in refrigeration servicing and with the 
exception of the above have a minimum of two years post training experience on room 
and comfort conditioner, cold rooms, deep freeze applications, and general refrigeration 
equipment.
iii) All technicians will have knowledge of the safety requirements when working on 
refrigeration plant and controls and must be capable of fault diagnosis, able to read 
drawings and good command of English both written and spoken.

One of the Mechanical Technicians, in addition to his basic mechanical skills, shall be a capable welder able to fabricate using electric or gas welding together with brazing. All the remaining Mechanical Technicians shall be able to do basic welding using electric or gas welding equipment in addition to their basic trade skills.
i) In general technicians shall have experience on laundry equipment, pump sets, compressor stations, lifting gear hydraulics and pneumatics, with knowledge of associated controls. Particular experience of large sewage treatment plants, water treatment and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) installations would be an advantage.
ii) One of the mechanical technicians must have at least 5 years’ experience in maintenance, operation testing and calibration of sterilizing equipment. Must have a good knowledge of electricity, electronics and associated equipment and be able to maintain mechanical equipment that may be found present in modern day autoclaves. Must have had experience in working with Getinge type autoclaves and be aware of the British standards laid down by Hospital Technical Memorandum 2010. 
iii) The technician must have a good knowledge of steam both theory andpractice and its use in the sterilization process. His experience should also include hot air and gas sterilizers.
iv) All technicians will have knowledge of the safety requirements and regulations of rotating equipment and pressurized equipment and shall be able to read and write in English, to read drawings, and use micrometers and vernier gauges.
